Seeking information on my ggg-grandfather Wesley Berry. I have a marriage
record from Page County that states he married Nancy Cave in 1834. I also
have the marriage records for two of his daughters that state on the marriage
records that the parents of the brides were Wesley and Nancy Berry. Ellen
N. Berry, born 1838 in Page County married William S. Harris. Frances Edna
Berry born about 1834 married Francis Marion Cave in Page County. In the
will of Margaret Ann Berry dated 1853, she leaves money to her granddaughter
Frances Edna Berry wife of Marion Cave. This is my only connection for
Wesley to his parents. She also mentions sons Buckner, Lawson, Benjamin
F. and daughter Cassey Ann Nichols, but no mention of Wesley or any of
his other children. Her death record in which her son Benjamin Franklin
Berry is the informant lists her father as James Ward and her husband as
Archrey Berry. Some sources state his name as Anthony. Marriage records
for Culpepper County show Margaret "Peggy" Ward's marriage as 11 August
1797. Can anyone help me with Wesley? The three marriage records and the
will mentioning one of his daughters is the only mention I can find of
him anywhere.
