Subject: [VACULPEP] Virus & Outlook Express?

I may be off center here, but I'm wondering if there is some connection
with Outlook Express users, and the darn viruse/worms, etc.? Although I get
everyone's email alerts, I never get the "culprit" emails carrying the
corrupt bugs. I do not use Outlook Express.

Aside to Nancy - if I understand your confusion correctly, perhaps it will
help for you to know that, as George said, the disease is not spread via
Rootsweb lists. But, we are all user/subscribers of many other resources
[such as Outlook Express]. If I understand George correctly, he is saying
such viruses do not originate among Rootsweb lists, as Rootsweb has in place
safeguards to protect us from such problems. It is our other contacts that
infect us, and then we unknowingly infect others, including Rootsweb list
users... we don't infect the list, we infect those we write to directly, or
respond to, directly, via shared attachments.

I'm computer dumbed-down, but this is how it appears to me <g>..
