I am looking for information on my GG-grandfather Wesley T. Newham, born 3-11-1802 in Rockingham Co., VA died 3-15-1883, in Rockingham Co., and buried in Linville Creek Cem. Near Linville, VA. He was married 12-14-1822 in Shenandoah Co., VA to Ann Moore. They apparently lived in Plains TWP along the Back Road north of Turleytown, and likely up near Cootes Store. He
was a physician and a farmer. Most of his children migrated and settled in Ray Co., MO. I am wanting to know what education a physician in the 1800's would have to have and where he was probably educated at. I haven't been able to trace where the family came from before the 1800's or who Wesley and Ann's parents were.
Thank you.

I have done pretty much research on teh Grubbs from Chester County, PA. as my grandfather was a Grubb. If I can help you any more, drop me a line and I'll share and do what I can.

According to my researcher friend, the other children were Elizabeth, Robert, Nancy, Polly, James, Francis, Rebekah, Lucy, Sarah and John K.
