THIS INDENTURE made this thirteenth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty-six between TILMON HUFMAN of the County of Culpeper and State of Virginia of the one part and CHARLES HUFMAN, JAMES HUFMAN, BENJAMIN HUFMAN, ELIZABETH SETTLE, WINNY UTTERBACK of the State of Kentucky JOHN HUFMAN SAMUEL HUFMAN and FRANCES HUFMAN of the County of Culpeper and State of Virginia of the other part.
WITNESSETH that the said TILMON HUFMAN as well for and in consideration of the natural love and affection which he the said TILMON HUFMAN beareth unto the said CHARLES HUFMAN JAMES HUFMAN BENJAMIN HUFMAN ELIZABETH SETTLE WINNY UTTERBACK JOHN HUFMAN SAMUEL HUFMAN and FRANCES HUFMAN as for the further consideration of ten dollars to him in hand paid by the said CHARLES HUFMAN JAMES HUFMAN BENJAMIN HUFMAN ELIZABETH SETTLE WINNY UTTERBACK JOHN HUFMAN SAMUEL HUFMAN and FRANCES HUFMAN at or before the insealing[inscribing]??? and delivery of these presents the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged hath given granted aliened enfeoffed and confirmed and by these presents doth give grant alien enfeoff and confirm unto the said CHARLES HUFMAN JAMES HUFMAN BENJAMIN HUFMAN ELIZABETH SETTLE WINNY UTTERBACK JOHN HUFMAN SAMUEL HUFMAN and FRANCES HUFMAN their heirs executors administrators and assigns all his real and personal estate in manner following to wit: he the said TILMON HUFMAN !
gives grants aliens enfeoffs and confirms by these presents to the said FRANCES HUFMAN her heirs executors administrators and assigns two Negro girls, one named Carolisse [surely this is Caroline] and the other named Mary with their future increase one bed and furniture one black walnut chest one cow and one equal eighth share of the residue of all his real and personal estate except the Negroes. To have and to hold the same unto her the said FRANCES HUFMAN her heirs executors administrators and assigns forever
He the said TILMON HUFMAN gives grants aliens enfeoffs and confirms by these presents to the said CHARLES HUFMAN his heirs executors administrators and assigns one equal eighth share of the residue of all his real and personal estate except the Negroes, to have and to hold the same unto him the said CHARLES HUFMAN his heirs and assigns forever.
And he the said TILMON HUFMAN gives grants aliens enfeoffs and confirms by these presents to the said JAMES HUFMAN and WINNY UTTERBACK each one equal eighth share of all his real and personal estate not herein before given and granted, to have and to hold the same unto them and each of them the said JAMES HUFMAN and WINNY UTTERBACK during their and each of their natural lives and at their deaths to be equally divided among the said CHARLES HUFMAN, BENJAMIN HUFMAN ELIZABETH SETTLE JOHN HUFMAN and SAMUEL HUFMAN, their heirs executors administrators and assigns forever and the said TIMAN HUFMAN for himself and his heirs the said property unto said CHARLES HUFMAN JAMES HUFMAN BENJAMIN HUFMAN ELIZABETH SETTLE WINNY UTTERBACK JOHN HUFMAN SAMUEL HUFMAN and FRANCES HUFMAN, their heirs executors administrators and assigns against the claim of him the said TILMON HUFMAN or his heirs and against the claim or claims of all and every person or persons whatever shall and will warrant and !
forever defend by these presents.

This Deed of Gift from TILMON HUFMAN to CHARLES HUFMAN JAMES HUFMAN BENJAMIN HUFMAN ELIZABETH SETTLE WINNY UTTERBACK JOHN HUFMAN SAMUEL HUFMAN and FRANCES HUFMAN was proved in the Clerks office the 15th day of May 1826 by the oaths of GEORGE W. LATHAM BURRELL HUFMAN and RICHARD MAWZY the witnesses thereto whereupon the same is admitted to Record.
