The book "An 18th Century Perspective: Culpeper County" and other sources indicate William Crozier was the the author of "Virginia Colonial Militia", from where they got their info: "Military Roster in Hening's Statutes at Large" and "Land Bounty Certificates" on page 35. I am wondering if anyone has information about this William Crozier?

I am researching my ancestor Matthias Rouse/Rausch who married Elizabeth (surname unknown). Matthias Rouse is listed as one of the foot soldiers in the Military Roster cited above. A source on the internet says that Matthias's wife was Elizabeth Crozier, b. c1725 in Culpepper Co, VA. I am trying to confirm this. I am also thinking there might be a connection to the above William Crozier.
