The Culpeper Genealogical Society will soon be celebrating its first
birthday. For detailed information about our organization, visit our
web site at http://www.rootsweb.com/~vacgs There you can print a
membership application (cost of membership $15.00). We publish a
quarterly journal, Culpeper Connections. Our most recent issue contains
information on slave manumissions in Culpeper and Afro-American voters
registered in East Catalpa voting district in 1902, as well as other
material. Our monthly meetings are free and open to the public;
membership is open to everyone -- you don't have to be local to join.
We have members scattered all over the U. S., although none in Hawaii
yet, Marianne. We'd love for you to be the first!
