Culpeper Co., VA researchers-

Did the Little Fork Group have a church that could have kept records? There
seems to be a significant lack of vital statistics about this group. Births
and marriages do not seem to be recorded as they were for the earlier German
colonies.

My specifics deal with the family of Henry HUFFMAN (aka Hans Henrich
HOFMANN)-1734 immigrant. My initial analysis of naming patterns in this
HUFFMAN family suggests that there were a significant number of marriages
outside the German community. Was there a Church of England in the vicinity
of Little Fork? I know that the VA was divided into parishes which would
indicate an established church was in the area to serve the parish.

Would someone address the issue of parishes and church records as they apply
to Culpeper Co., VA?
