The 2 vol. book "Lillard: A Family of Colonial Virginia" Second Edition, by David Lillard gives several possibilities for the ancestral beginnings of the Culpeper Lillards, but states that there is not enough evidence to come to a clear conclusion. It begins the actual lineage with James Lillard who married Kesiah Bradley and has a (_?_) as his parent. You may want to go to the library and look at a copy of this book to read the chapter on Colonial Virginia Lillards to give you some leads as to what has been found and where to go looking for the info you seek.

There is also a chapter on the Bradley-Lillard Connections.
