There seems to be at least two branches of REED/READ/REEDS in Culpeper. My ancestor is Gabriel REEDS b. 1785, son of Samuel REEDS and Sarah HACKLEY.

The other main group is the John READ m. Winifred FAVOUR.

Gabriel's ancestors were in Northumberland, Richmond and Westmoreland from the mid 1600s.
