I found some Story family in our family tree which extends from William
Johnson I, of Red Oak Mountain, near Woodville, Which was Culpeper
County at on time, but is now Rappahannock County. Is this a branch of
yours?

I'm hoping someone can help me with my very big brick wall.
>From 1758-1796 their are 2 or 3 JOHN STORY'S in Culpeper Co. Va.
1 is my GGGGGGrandfather, JOHN STORY
1 is my is his oldest child, JOHN STORY entered the Rev. ar. and died on
the battlefield April 8. 1778. His Bounty Land Warrant was assigned to
my GGGGGrandfather, FRANCIS STORY and he received on
Nov. 24, 1784 in Culpeper County Court. Military Warrant number# was
3649 I have copies of this from Virginia and NARA referred me to
Virginia State Library for information.

STORY, FRANCIS (HEIR-AT-LAW) VETERAN NAME: STORY, JOHN (deceased) 3
years. 100 acres # 3649.0 10th Virginia Continental Line.

another piece of paper "At a Court held for Culpeper County the 20day of
September 1784, JOHN STORY CAME INTO COURT AND MADE OATH THAT FRANCIS
STORY IS THE HEIR AT LAW TO JOHN STORY WHO DIED IN CONTINENTAL SERVICE
which is ordered to be certified."

Which John Story is my GGGGGrandfather? All these records I have found
show JOHN STORY'S who came from Virginia to Kentucky to Ind, and 1 back
to KY.

I can't find the proof and documentation I need. I can not find any
burial site for the Brother?
who died April 08, 1778 on the battlefield. He is a Revolutionary War
Soldier.

Francis Story married Susanna Kelly in 1791 in Culpeper Co. VA. , next
record, they were in Shenandoah Co. VA. then Greenbrier, next, Kanawha
Co. WVA he paying tax records until 1817. my GGGGrandfather, WILLIAM
STORY is in the house next door in 1810 and he is in
Adams Co. OH. in 1812 enlisted War of 1812 for 5 tours.
