Ginny, thanks for the suggestion. Interesting enough I have been doing
a LOT of research on the movement from Orange County, Virginia to Ky.
My time of interest begins with the Traveling Church from Culpeper to Ky
in 1781 and continuing and the migration into Ky picked up steam after
that. My dad's DNA matches seemed to descend from Hawkins men who
married Bourne women and moved to Ky circa 1788. I know that your date
is somewhat later for migration.....but if they moved to the area around
today's Lexington--Scott County, Fayette County, Bourbon County....and
they were Baptist....well I just keep thinking that there is some
correlation between the earliest movement and succeeding movement.
Thanks again for sending the below. I'll try to give your idea some
thought. I am not back far enough yet on my lines to have a Rev War
Veteran....but there may be a clue there anyway. Marsha in WV
