My sister's company, Warner Music Group (WMG), now an independent company from AOL Time Warner, is also matching employee donations. Everyone should check with their respective employers to see if a match is available. It's a wonderful way to make each donation more powerful!

A good web site for those looking to make donations...

http://www.networkforgood.org/

I work for AOL Time Warner, and we use this site for employee donations
(though its open for anybody). It lets you make donations to multiple
organizations at once, and also serves as a convenient directory of
agencies grouped by cause. Of course, there's a big section on Katrina
relief.

AOL-TW is doing a dollar-for-dollar charity match on employee donations
to the Red Cross. I'm collecting money from friends to donate all at
once. I've got a few hundred already, so, that's good. Not trying to
start a political discussion so I won't go into details, but it seems to
me like the government's response so far has been atrociously bad... so
the more that private organizations can do, the better. Even if all you
can do is send 5 bucks to the Red Cross, or give some clothes or food,
please do what you can!
