Below is a Beverly reference that I found in "The Lost Children of Wythe
County, Virginia 1790-1878 - Poor School Children, Orphans, and
Apprentices from County Records" compiled by Mary B. Kegley, 1995.

September 12, 1805, overseers of the poor to bind out John, Judith,
Hannah, Robert, Samuel, Abigail, and Elijah Beverly, children of Elijah
Beverly, who appear to be in a "suffering condition." (Wythe County
Court Order Book Records)

No further information is given on the outcome. Like many others on
this list, I descend from Abigail Beverly who married Richard Baker so
any additional information on this would be appreciated.
