What was the name of your 4th gr. grandfather who was the overseer for
Sampson Turley?

The books editor was Donald M. Sweig (map & book 1987). There is some
history of Fairfax Co. Explanation of land ownership in Fairfax Co.
Alphabetical listing of Landowners, leaseholders, and tenants, as shown on
the map. (Number of acres owned, number rented as a leaseholder or tenant,
number of slaves held. This information is broken down into different lists.
An explanation of leaseholders and tenants w/lists and source of reference
to tenancy.
Roads history and explanation of the roads. Ten named roads. Some roads did
not have names.
Bridges
Churches. Naming Pohick (Occoquan), Falls Church and the Church at
Alexandria.
Tobacco inspection warehouses. Naming Hunting Creek, Pohick Creek, Occoquan
River and Little Falls of Potomac River.
Courthouse. Naming justices from 1759-1761.
Mills. (Incidentally it mentions Turley's Mill located at Popeshead (road
