Hello. I am new to the list. I am researching a Robert Patton, Jr. b. l781,
VA, who married Ann Clifton Reeder b. 1785, VA, in 1805, Alexandria, VA. Ann
was the daughter of Benjamin Reeder and Eleanor Slaughter. Robert and Ann's
daughter Eleanor Ann Clifton Slaughter married George Mason VI in VA, a
prominent citizen in the area. Robert Patton's mother's name was Helen
Douglas Patton and Helen's father was a George Douglas. Robert and family
resided at Spring Bank, a large mansion in the area. Robert was a member of
the George Washington Masonic Lodge #22 and attended George Washington's
funeral in l799.
