Blackburn's Ford was located on Bull Run on land owned by Colonel Richard
Blackburn of Rippon Lodge near Occoquan, a native of Yorkshire, England. In
1854 land was sold to Wilmer McLean. (Reference: Bull Run Remembers by J.
M. Hanson, published 1953, page 96.)
