James Patton, Esquire, b. abt. 1755, Co. Derry, Ireland, d. Alexandria,
Fairfax Co., VA, married Mollie Kincaid, daughter of James Kincaid. James
and his brother Robert Patton, Sr., shown below, were merchants and
shipbuilders.

James was the son of James Patton b. abt. 1834, Ireland, and Mary (Prudence?)
Newell. James died in 1821, Fort Loudon, Franklin Co., PA. Other children
for James and Mary:

l. Robert Patton, Sr., b. abt. 1750, Co. Derry, Ireland, died in Alexandria,
Fairfax Co., VA, married Helen Douglas in Ireland - sons Charles Patton and
Robert Patton, Jr., married Ann Clifton Reeder in 1805, Fairfax Co., VA. Ann
was the daughter of Benjamin Reeder and Eleanor Slaughter

2. Margaret Patton, b. abt. 1758, Co. Derry, Ireland

3. Rebecca Patton b. abt. 1760, Ireland

4. Mary Patton, b. abt. 1762, Ireland

5. Elizabeth Patton b. abt. 1764, Ireland

6. Grizzel Patton, b. abt. 1769, Ireland

7. Matthew Patton b. April 12, 1776, d. June 25, 1845
