Hi,

My ancestors where the last owners of Belhaven in Scotland, before they came to America in 1655. I am a descendant of Col. John Douglas, Gentleman who settled on the Potomac at an estate he called Blythswood. The Colonels father-in-law was the 1st Viscount of Belhaven in Scotland (and was descended as an illegitimate heir from James IV of Scotland through Marion Boyd, then down through the Earls of Morton, then Knights of Spott, and Belhaven).
