LESSONS LEARNED North Carolina Census Entries versus Search using Last
Names!!!!

Heads-up: Some enumerators entered "First Name, Last Name" >>> no
problem, except INDEXERS list first entries as SURNAMES!!!! ...{:(.

May want to pass this on for other Census Indexers and us innocent
victims who are dealing with "Brick Walls"!!!

Dan,
1860 NC Census Under Siras who is listed as his race "M" I
think that stands for Mullato. John Kelly Fax is listed as White.

Here on Line 15 there is a John Kelly who had a son John who was
two. I think the last name should be Fax because of the " marks. I
think it was meant to portray the Fax not the Smith. I think Smith was
the Wifes Maiden name.
