Collected notes on Charles Turner below and if anyone can offer further:

Have a Charles Turner of Fairfax who is married to a Frances WEST born in
Fairfax Co., VA, and died 1796 in Alexandria, VA. She married Charles TURNER
11 SEP 1795 in Alexandria, VA.


This Charles Turner lived after 1800. He was appointed guardian of Walter
Alexander about 1800
This Charles Turner also witnessed a deed for a Philip Pritchartt in Fairfax
County 1790.

This Indenture made this 19th day of April in the year of our Lord 1790
between Thomas Pollard of County of Fairfax of one part and Philip PRITCHART of
same County of other part, Witnesseth that Thomas Pollard in Consideration of
the Rents Covenants and Conditions here in expressed and contained on part of
Philip PRITCHART and assigns by these presents doth demise grant and to farm
let unto PHILIP PRITCHART and assigns One hundred acres of Land situated in
County aforesaid and bounded, beginning at a black Gum saplin in MARMADUKE
BECKWITHs line and runing thence South two degrees West one hundred poles to a
stake or Pile of stone, thence West one hundred and seven poles to GIANT
CASTLE BRANCH, thence with the meanders of said Branch to a Hickory standing on
aforesaid Run side and in JOHN GIBSONs Fence, which said Hickory is an
established corner tree between Thomas POLLARD and MARMADUKE BECKWITH thence with
MARMADUKE BECKWITHs line to the beginning black Gum containing one hundred
acres of Land. To have and to hold the land and premises except all mines
minerals and quarries unto Philip PRITCHETT and to his assignes during the term of
twenty one years commencing from the twenty firth day of December one
thousand seven hundred and Eighty eight and fully to be compleat and ended on the
twenty fifth day of December in the year one thousand eight hundred and nine;
paying for the same unto Thomas Pollard yearly on the twenty fifth day of
December the rent of one thousand pounds of crop tobacco and cask in one hogshead
to be inspected not above twelve months before the payment shall be made;
and PHILIP PRITCHETT his heirs shall not cut or clear the wood land in spots
but shall clear it square and share the bad with the good and not leave any
uncleared bwtween different clearings and shall not dispose of the demised
premises without giving Thomas Pollard his heirs first refusal thereof.
In Witness whereof the parties to these presents have interchangeably set
their hands and seals the day and year above written. signed Sealed and
Acknowledged in presence of us:

At a Court contd and held for the County of Fairfax 20th Apl 1790 This lease
was proved by the oath of Baldwin Dade, George Deneale and Charles Turner to
be the acts and deed of Thomas Pollard to Philip Pritchart and ordered to be

KNOW ALL MEN by these presents that we CHARLES TURNER, JOHN WISE and
WILLIAM PAYNE are hold and firnly bound unto CHARLES LITTLE, RICHARD B LEE,
JAMES WAUGH and RICHARD RATCLIFFE, Gentlemen of the County Court of Fairfax in
the sum of Five thousand Dollars to which payment well and truly to be made
we bind ourselves our heirs firmly by these presents, Sealed with our seals
and dated this 18th day of August 1800
THE CONDITION of the above obligation is such that if the above bound
CHARLES TURNER, Guardian of WALTER ALEXANDER, his Executors and Administrators do
and shall ,well and truly pay unto the said Orphan all such Estate as now is
or hereafter shall come to the hands or possession of the mid CHARLES TURNER
as soon as the said Orphan shall attain to lawful age orwhen thereto
required by the said County Court, shall well and truly save harmless and
indemnified the said Justices their heirs from all trouble and damage that shall or may
&rise about the said Estate, Then this obliggaon to be void else to remain
in full force & virtue

Co., VA. He was the son of 2. Hugh WEST and 3. Sybil HARRISON. He married
Catherine COLVILLE BEF. 1755, daughter of Thomas COLVILLE and FRANCINA.

Children of Captain John WEST , Jr. and Catherine COLVILLE are:
i. Thomas WEST was born 1755 in Fairfax Co., VA, and died 1804. He married
Anne PAYNE. He married Elizabeth HAMILTON.
ii. John WEST was born 1760, and died 1806. He married Sarah BROADWATER. She
was born 1760, and died 1796. He married ELIZABETH.
iii. Hugh WEST.
iv. Catherine WEST was born in Fairfax Co., VA. She married Baldwin DADE.
v. Frances WEST was born in Fairfax Co., VA, and died 1796 in Alexandria,
VA. She married Charles TURNER 11 SEP 1795 in Alexandria, VA.
vi. Sarah WEST died 1795. She married John BRONAUGH.
