Carylon,

My Watson family is missing a bunch of people...lol. The only Watsons I can find are my
g4grandfather & g3grandmother. These would be:

Joseph Watson born about 1825 in Georgia died before 1880 in Georgia, married
Amelia TAPLEY/TARPLEY.

Mary 'Mollie' Watson born 1849 in Georgia died 12 January 1933 in Georgia married
Thomas Lamar DRAKE, born 30 June 1845 in Emanuel County, Georgia
died 25 September 1913. Both are buried in Watson Cemetery in Odomville, Georgia.

Their daughter Lillie Belle Drake married Minza Leonard BAILEY, which is how I am related to these various families.

I will keep your information & let you know if I find-out anything as I continue to look for these brick-wall families of mine?

Sincerely,
Helena-Suzanne

Hi!
Is your Watson family missing this member?

Oren Morton's book, "History of Preston Co., WV":
In 1790, William Watson came from Eastern Virginia and settled near
what is now known as Masontown, Preston county, having patented 300
acres of land. His wife was Elizabeth Patton. His children were: John,
David, Jacob, Nancy, Mary, Jane, and William. William was a soldier in
the War of 1812.

I am looking for clues to William Watson's, b. abt. 1730, ancestry.

Carolyn
