In a recent post the name Sylvanus Kenny was listed. What I am curious about is the name Sylvanus.

My 2xgreat Uncle was Sylvanus Riley born early 1800's. Now in all the records were I have looked ,there are very few Sylvanus. Also in the family the name changed to Sylvester. One even had the name Sill middle name Vanus. What nationality is it or do you know where is originated. It seems to be localized here in the Virginia area. MargeGet more from the Web.
