Subject: Wording in Marriage License/Bond

I haven't seen much activity on this list in the last few days -
hopefully I'm not missing anything.
This is a question about a GA marriage license of 1814, but perhaps
someone will know the answer. It reads in part "......if they be of
lawful age and authorized by the ______tical degrees and for your so
doing this shall be your sufficient license....".
I would suppose the word I can't make out has to do with degrees of
consanguinity, but what is the word???
Any help appreciated.
Sandra
