Charles Wilson, of Salem Va., but formerly of Floyd County, died at his
home Saturday, after a long illness from rheumatism and heart trouble. He
was about 82 years of age and is survived by his wife who is a sister of Mr.
Ham McNiel and several children. The remains were brought to Floyd Sunday
and intered in the Wilson or _(cant read)___Hill Cemetery, Rev. G W Woodward
conducting the burial service. Quiet a large croud attended the burial
service.
The floral offering was exceedingly beautiful.
It is said that Mr. Wilson's father was the first person to be burried in
the Wilson Cemetery which was 62 years ago, and today there is 126 bodies
intered there. This is one of the nicest burial grounds in the county. It is
also a chartered cemetery.
