I, too, would like to thank you for sharing your knowlege with us. I have not been able to locate Strickler or Strickland; but will continue to look.
I have found, with the information that Shirley provided, that Pine Hills Road is now known as Guard Road.
I found that area off the #66 between the #81 and #522/340.
I found that there was a battle fought at Guard Hill during the Civil War and I am wondering if this area could be the Pine Hills area of yesteryear and that maybe they call it the Guard Hill area now?
Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.
