My Allen ancestors were early Scotch-Irish pioneers in Frederick County who
arrived about 1737. Does your comment above mean we will not find the names
of his family on the manifest of a ship coming from Ulster, Ireland?

Thanks,

These records have been published and the best source is probably
"Pennsylvania German Pioneers" by Strassburger and Hinke. Vol. I and III
contains the ship lists from about 1727 to about 1808. Vol.III also has the
index. Vol. II has the original signatures and names as they were written.
These volumes should be in most genealogy libraries.

above since English citizens did not have to be recorded. Good Luck.
