I have some information on the descendants of Philadelphia Ashby and her husband John Carroll and some tentative information on her ancestry that I would be willing to share. Do you have info on Philadelphia's descendants down to yourself that you could send me? My research indicates Philadelphia Ashby to be the daughter of Thomas Bryan Martin Ashby (son of Cpt. Nimrod Ashby and his wife Frances Wright). Cpt. Nimrod and Frances had only two children, Thomas and his brother Martin. There are many erroneous accounts on the Web of another child Frances which have been proven wrong by the many court records of Fauquier County, VA. I would be happy to supply more info if you are interested.
