Thanks for the information. Neither Dr. Alex Reed nor Elias & James Reed of Clark Co., AL match anyone in my known family tree. My ancestor, John REED, (d. ca. 1848 Lawrence Co., AL) was born ca. 1776 in Pennsylvania (according to the Reed Family in America (1866)). I have no idea whom his siblings or parents were. Dr. Alex Reed might be some relation, but I cannot identify him at all.
