A little creative spelling on part of census
taker..
1860 > Virginia > FREDERICK > WINCHESTER
Series: M653 Roll: 1347 Page: 401
STOTTLEMIER GEORGE H 33 M W VA VA
FREDERICK WINCHESTER 1860
He was 33, a constable, with Jackaline 34,
Josephene A. 9, John R. 7, George H. 6, James W.
5, Laura V. 3, and Mary E. 2 mos., all b VA.
=======================
1870 > Virginia > FREDERICK > WINCHESTER
Series: M593 Roll: 1648 Page: 188
SLOTTLMYERE GEORGE H 42 M W VA VA
FREDERICK WINCHESTER 1870
Wife and children all and exactly same as in
1860, he's a hotel keeper now; also in house is
Alexander Holliday, school teacher, and Thomas
Clifford, RR overseer? (probably boarders?)
