Thank you SO much for that information, Vanda.

After taking most of the winter off from genealogy, I got back into it last week. I'm still at am impasse....trying to see if there is evidence of a link between William and Mildred Bourn and their son, Morton, and my established relative Morton Bourn and his wife Elizabeth Greenlee.

I have found deeds where William and Mildred Bourn have given property to their son, Morton Bourn, and other deeds where a Morton Bourn and his wife Elizabeth have bought and sold property in (old) Frederick County - now Berkely County, WV.

I have yet to run across any definitive record where William and Mildred Bourn and Morton Bourn and his wife Elizabeth are mentioned in a single record.

My hope in chasing down the records for Salem Church is that somewhere I may run across a record establishing this link -- if it exists. If I can find the approximate birth year of William and Mildred's son, Morton, it may support or disprove this link. (My Morton Bourn was born in Frederick County ca 1795.)

I continue my search. Thanks for your help.

Wes
