I am so thoroughly confussed!
I have Robert Smith, in the 1900 census, with children Ellen, b. 1883, Bob L
(could be Robert) b. 1876, Walter b., 1878, Willie b. 1880, Frank (my
grandfather) b 1894, Clarra b. 1886 and Fannie b. 1891. Thats in White Chapel.
So who is the mother of all these children? (I knew Uncle Will, he used to
tell me "ghost stories" about Yankee Point)
In 1880 Census, I have Robert Smith, age 35 (B. 1845) mar. to Sallie age 28
(B. 1852)
and her father Isaac, age 78 b. 1802. No children listed. (?)
In the 1860 census of Accomack Parrish, I have David Sparrow b.1817/8 wife
Mary and children: Samuel b. 1845, Arinthia b. 1847, and SALLY , 1852. and a
Mary Benedict age 22.
ALSO in 1860 census, I have RAMON SPARROW b. 1828, wife Sarah b. 1819
(also referred to as Sallie in the 1870 census) children listed are: James H. 16
yrs, Elizabeth 15 yrs, William 13 yrts, Sarah 11 yrs, (b. 1849), and Ramon 2
yrs. That's Mathews Co., VA.
(If Mother, Sarah is referred to as "Sallie", couldn't the daughter be
referred to as Sallie?
I do not have the date of the marriage between Raymond and Sarah or between
David and #2 wife Mary, possible mother of Sally (b. 1852)
Hence, the confussion. I just want to get it right.
I have all the family "stuff" from Robert and Sally til now. I just need to
know, which Sallie/Sally.
