Hi Jeanne,

Let's talk about your, NICHERSON OLIVER who married VICEY JOHNSON on July 31, 1791, in Halifax Co., VA...... and the NICHERSON OLIVER, who married JUDITH HOLT, on May 6, 1800, in Halifax Co., VA.. Are these two OLIVER men, "one and the same", (or not)? Also.....do you suppose that, "VICEY" JOHNSON, was actually, 'LUCY" JOHNSON? I see on Halifax Co., Virginia topographical map, the following families living very close to each other along the Halifax Co., VA. and Person Co., NC. border. Those families are: OLIVER - JOHNSON - HOLT. I find that interesting! Also seen on these topo maps are the STOVALL, NICHOLS, OWENS lines.

Also interesting is the name of, NICHOLS - NICHOLSON - don't you think? Please do email me personally so we can continue with the OLIVER saga.....(smile). Looking forward to talking more with you.

Well, my Nickerson Oliver did have a son, William, but as you (and Mimi)
said, there is no proof that he was YOUR William. My William married Vicey
Johnson on 13 July 1791 in Halifax Co., VA. That is the only date that I have for
