Mary, I cannot help you with Robert J Griffin and Eddy Jones.
However, will offer a suggestion. My William B. Griffin and wife, Susannah,
were in Talladega County AL by 1850. They stayed a few years in Georgia
after leaving Virginia. Have you checked other states to see if Robert and
Eddy show up?

Jones thrown in just for fun}

Robert J Griffin married Eddy Jones, the daughter of Reuben and Sarah
Griffin Jones 24 Oct 1815 in Halifax Co VA. They were in the 1850 Halifax
census with 5 daughters....after that I lost them.

Where did they go?
Who/where did they marry?

The girls are:

Susan Griffin born ca 1816
Jane Griffin born ca 1817
Elizabeth Griffin born ca 1825
Nancy Griffin born ca 1827
Mary Griffin born 1834
