Hi folks, the Ulster Society is a NI-based cultural organization that
educates on various types of culture in NI, especially Protestant/
Ulster Scots/British. etc/ Ie in its journal you may find articles on
the Hugeunots of Lurgan, a terrible train wreck of 100 years ago
that has been forgotten (names of lots of victims: "So that's what
happened to great uncle so and so!"), Elizabethan botanists, etc
Genealogical queries are printed. Lots of local history and surnames.
I am a member and receive the journal. Its website is here:
http://www.aughrim.demon.co.uk/us_1.html
where it has posted various articles from the journal, especially
one there famous Americans from Ulster.
It was requested by the website designer who installed a counter
that I mention it so that those who might want to inspect it (I hear
there are new articles up there) will do so. This will cause the
counter to rise and enable the website designer to demonstrate
the cause effect relationship of advertising to someone who appears
to doubt it: : Ie tell people about the place, counts go up. Fail to
invest in advertising, counts go down. Now...repeat after me...
Up! Down, Up! Down, got it? right! If we help they'll post more
free having been positively reinforced like Pavlov's dog. I keep telling
them More! More!
Thanks, Linda Merle
