Friedrick Wilhelm Hanewinckel was born on 19 June 1821 in Germany. F.W.
Hanewinckel came to VA about 1850 as Consuls of the German Empire. F. W.
married Roberta C. Nichole, in Alexandria Co., VA. sometime before 1855
and had issue viz: Meta Margaret, Ida Luise, Roberta Nichole, Emilie, Edward,
& Frederick W. Hanewinckel. All were of Richmond except Meta who lived
in Baltimore MD with her husband Joseph Packard, Jr. Ide L. married Thomas
Atkinson and Roberta H. married William R. Trigg. F.W. Hanewinckel,Sr.
facilitated his nephew Christoph L.H. Hanewinckel with his immigration
to this country in 1856.
The Hanewinckel families lived most of their life in Richmond, VA. F.W.
Hanewinckel bought a 400 acres in Charlotte Co., VA to farm tobacco. Christoph
L.H. Hanewinckel more than likely met his bride-to-be, Martha E. Harvey
d/o John C. & Mary W. Harvey, in Richmond, VA, but they married in Charlotte
Co., VA 1870. From the union between Christoph and Martha my grandmother
was born- Mary Louise Hanewinckel b. 1873. In 1899 Mary L. Hanewinckel
married Robert Nelson Guy. I am willing to share information. I need more
informaiton about this Harvey family.
