I will be in Henrico County on June 28 and 30 and would like to visit the
Virginia State Archives. Can someone tell me where they are housed (directions
on how to get there) and what hours they are open to the public? I am specifically
looking for information on my gggrandfather, Benjamin WATSON who was born
in Virginia June 1, 1808. I do not know the county in which he was born
or even his father's name (that's what I'm looking for). He later moved
to Kentucky, but I don't know exactly when. Is this a hopeless case, or
are there records that my help me in my quest? Thanks in advance for your
help.
