Recently I came across a land patent (page 65, vol. 1 of "Early Virginia
Families") dated 1725, describing the location of a land grant on the west
side of the James River, "adjacent Mr. James Powell Locke, in Macham's line
..." Does anyone on this List know who this Macham was? Apparently the line
was one border of his property, but I can find nothing about any Macham in
Henrico County as early as that.
