I am a descendant of John Cliborn, married Mary Sheppy. I am very intreted in what your sorce is for the information that Josuah Stapp was a friend of a Cliborn, and eventually married his widow, taking his son John Claiborne on as a step son (son in law). Do you know of any connection between Edward Cleiborne, who arrived on "The Globe" in 1635, and John Cliborn (Clyborn) , Mary Sheppy's husband ?
Stapp's will was recorded 4-1-1685, John (E.C.) Cliboen was born circa 1650, Kevin's theory wont fit for John Claiborne, , son-in law.
