This is my family also. Thomas, the child of John Clyborn and Martha Sheppy, was awarded to his mother's sister, Elizabeth Sheppy and her husband Jeremiah Brown, and John Jr. to his aunt Martha and her husband Edward Stratton.
According to a book written by Lolita Bissell, Thomas died a few years after he was given in custody to Elizabeth.
Should you be interested in this book, let me know and I will send info as where to order it. It is so much documented and researcher info here that it is well worth the time and money to obtain it. It dispels alot of misinformation about this family's history.
