I am a descendant of Ellison & Millie Riley. I found a posting in genforum which states: Ellison Ladd m. Amelia Riley 6/29/1804 in Paris, Bourbon Co., Ky. Amelia was the daughter of Edward Riley & wife unknown..Edward was an Irishman and wife was a Mohawk Indian. Ellison was born 1780 in Mecklenburg County, VA. ANOTHER posting here in Rootsweb states a Thomas Ladd married a Mary Ellison in 1767 in Henrico County. This Ladd/Ellison marriage HAS to be parentage of Ellison I would think! This Thomas Ladd was the son of William Ladd & Huda Binford according to the posting.

good luck, as I have found NO concrete evidence on this yet.
