Hi list, I'm trying to find out the parentage of my Ann Smith who married
Richard Woodson in Henrico Co @ 1695. I think his name was Obediah because
they named a son Obediah Woodson. I have the following bits of info. I think
that the info below refers to two Obediahs, one b@ 1690-1700 and one older.
If anyone has any more, please contact me. Sherry


" He the sd Obadiah Smith was the son of John Smith who's wife was Hannah
Dwarf - The sd John Smith came from England & settled in Charles City County
in Virginia."

Wm Smith, the son of Robert and Mary Smith was born Nov 18 1720 and died Jan
16 1790.
His wife, Mary Smith, the daughter of Obediah and Mary Cocke Smith was born
Oct 6 1726 and died Nov 15 1804.
Obediah Smith was the son of John Smith and must have been born @ 1690-1700.

"In 1692, Obadiah Smith and his sister, Mary. were appointed guardians of
John Smith's orphans, unnamed. These orphans, who were under age then, might
have been Luke and Ann Smith [and a younger Obediah]. So far there is no
further data on Ann Smith and no data naming a sibling Ann. Luke Smith,
however,is found in Henrico Co, VA living next to Obediah Smith."
