Thanks for replying, Martha. The problem is that I know nothing about this man or his family. I am looking for my Lewis Ward's parents. Lewis was born ca.1798 in VA, according to later censuses. He was first discovered in Casey CO, KY, where he paid taxes in 1819. No other Ward in the area seems to be related.

There was a Landy Ward who married Frances Lewis in Washington CO, KY, in 1813. The only other mention of him is the 1810 census of Henrico CO, VA. So I thought I'd see where that takes me. No one but you has replied.
