The crossing you speak of in Richmond, VA is a three decker crossing
conjstructed in 1900 at Seventeenth and Dock Streets for the Chesapeake and Ohio (top
track), Seaboard (middle track) and Southern (bottom track) Railroad Lines. In
1911 three steam locomotives paused for a photograph of this unusual
crossing. I think that a copy of the picture taken in 1911 is in the Valentine Museum.
