To Highland Library - Pat

Thank you for the offer of a quick lookup but I would like to see the whole
book. I believe that we are related into Robert Carlile (son of John) from
Bullpasture and also to the Grahams and Lockridge's have some connection and
my request was to Ode Carlisle who wrote (I tried Worldcat but could not get
it to work for me) --

> It is "Early Western Augusta Pioneers: including the
>families of Cleek, Gwin, Lightner, and Warwick, and related families of
>Bratton, Campbell, Carlile, Craig, Crawford, Dyer, Gay, Givens, Graham,
>Harper, Henderson, Hull, Keister, Lockridge, McFarland, and Moore," by George
>Washington Cleek, 1889-?, reprinted by Clearfield Publishing Company
>(subsidiary of Genealogical Publishing Co.), 1995, 1997, 1999. This is a
>paperback 6 x 9, over 400 pages.
>
>I do not have a copy but I searched Worldcat on OCLC and located 16 libraries
>which have it. The nearest copy is in the Conroe Public Library, about 50
>miles north of Houston where I live. I looked at it there last fall. It
>contains a large amount of specific information about a good many Carliles who
>lived in early VA. None of them seem related to my earliest known ancestor,
>Nathaniel Carlile, will probated in Halifax Co., NC in 1812, although some
>think he came from VA.

>If anyone requests, I will post the list of libraries that have it.
