Casey,
Well, I just paid $25 on eBay for a full copy of the Jeremiah genealogy
(Mehitable's lineage), all 300+ pages of it. So I would think you're talking
in the $10-$15 range, depending on who wants it, if anybody.
Another thing affecting value is the accuracy of the information in it. For
example, the Jeremiah genealogy says that Mehitable was the 4th child of
Jeremiah(4) Vail and Elizabeth Youngs, and that she grew up in Oyster Ponds,
LI. She was b. 30 May 1738 and Joseph Brown was b. 3 Oct 1733. They had 17
(count 'em) children, the information about them coming from the Brown family
Bible.
And according to the Jeremiah genealogy, Peter Vail and Thankful Griffin did
not have a daughter named Mehitable.
So who was right?
Thanks and regards
Steve Vail
