Subject: [VAKINGGE] Fw: ASHTON - DEV ENG and VA USA

I am a descendant of Henry ASHTON from Pilton, Devonshire ENG that migrated to Wisconsin USA. It was said that about 1877 he was hi-jacked and jumped ship in NY, but then there was a record given to me that said he was of the Royal Navy, unsure which one is true or if both are true. He was the only one of his siblings that came to America. His father William was from Beaford, Devonshire. His g-grandfather was Jeptha born ca1717 and married Jane ACKLAND 1738, also in Beaford.
There is a ASHTON lineage that said this Jeptha ASHTON came from Virginia USA, so far I find no proof of it. If Jeptha was from VA his father would have been Charles Jr. ASHTON who married ca1706, in King George County VA, to Margaret HART. Also, as far as I can tell, Charles Jr. was the son of Col. Charles & Ann (WICKLIFFE), son of Col. John & Grace (MEESE), son of Capt. Charles & Isabella (DeCLARE) or Frances (BURDETT), son of Ralph ASHTON from England, none of this has been proved yet.
The ASHTON were in King George Co., Westmoreland Co. and Northumberland Co., VA
If someone can prove Jeptha ASHTON was the son of Charles and Margaret ASHTON from Virginia USA, I will share what I have? Also if any has ASHTON from Devonshire will see if they are related to this Jeptha ASHTON line?
The Devonshire ASHTON were from Barnstaple, Beaford and Plymouth areas and had connections in Exeter, through the ACKLAND.
