Anyone researching the GASKIN family of Northumberland Co. Virginia? I am
looking for information on Elizabeth "Betsy" Gaskins who was the first wife
of John Ledford bn. circa 1771 - 1779 and died after 1830. ELIZABETH
"BETSY" GASKINS was married to John Ledford on 14 Dec. 1801 and she died
circa 1806. She had two daughters with john Ledford; Sally Harding Ledford
and Betsy Gaskins Ledford who married Griffin Edwards on 2 June 1824 probably
in Northumberland Co. Virginia.
Her father may have been a Joseph, Richard or Thomas Gaskin. Thomas
Gaskin was a very good friend of John Ledford's grandfather who was also
named John Ledford and married Elizabeth Howson 1742 in Lancaster Co. Va.
