To members of the Valledolmo and PIE mailing lists,

I am an Italian-American with the name Battaglia in my family tree, and I
have been corresponding via email with a Salvo Battaglia, who is a 27-year
old farmer in Valledolmo, Sicily. Salvo is looking for relatives in this
country. I'd like to help him find some relatives, if possible, as a little
return favor for all of the Italians who have helped all of us who are
looking for relatives in their country.

If you have any suggestions on where to begin, or if you speak Italian and
might you want to correspond directly with Salvo, please let me know.
Salvo's grandmother's brother was Giuseppe Battaglia, and he immigrated in
1901 to Cleveland Ohio. He had a son named Antonio or Tony. To those on
PIE
who might respond to this, I don't currently subscribe to PIE (not that I'm
not interested, just a shortage of time!), so please respond to my email
address rather than (or in addition to) the mailing list.
