Jan,
I do not see any Pokes, etc in my copy of the 1820 Loudoun index.
I do know, however, that one Mary Poak/Polk/Poke married Joseph Caldwell at
the First Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia on 26 Jan 1743, the same
church where several of her siblings were married. The couple came to
Loudoun County and lived where I now live until Joseph died in 1793. His
wife Mary ahh predeceased him. This comes from the book "Joseph Caldwell of
Loudoun County VA," by descendant Edythe Maxey Clark, Anundsen Publishing
Co, 1992. The full book is available at Balch in the family file.
Hope this helps.
