I received the following from Tom Bishop who asked that I forward it on
to the list:

Since I'm at home, could you copy and paste
and post this to the Loudoun list over the weekend? Might help someone
with
their Steere genealogy. This is not all the dates, and some are listed
as 5th
month, etc and not May (the way they wrote it -- the month commonly
called
May). Also not listed are the slave births (or what appear to be
slaves,
e.g. Darky Jane, these on a separate sheet of paper). Doesn't seem to be
many
marriages listed. Sometimes the hour of b. or d. is noted. Also, I think
this
was Lucketts area, not Lovettsville, as I thought.

Was married to Mary George the 15th day of July 1767, lived together in
mutual happiness 34 years, (?) Month, and 15 days. He dyed on the 1st of
Sept
1801. They being the parents of nine children,
